The Dread Titania | Razorwing Cheeseframe 6666

Please like if this guide or build was helpful for you!

I'm putting this up due to multiple requests for viable Steel Path/hard-content builds and I guarantee this build together with my Dex Pixia build will make your [Titania Prime] the ONLY frame. You can improve my build for whatever you want, but you need to understand how to make her powerful. It takes multiple steps, but she is worth it because she will become your Cheeseframe.

NOTE: The polarity arrangement and mods themselves may not be the best possible outcome. This is my real-world build and not a build dreamed up using Overframe's build tool. Improve and play with this build as you see fit. It will cheese anything, but we'll get to disadvantages below.

Steps for success:

  1. Be Razorwings - Never leave it. You will evade damage and you can cast your other abilities (more on that below). IMO Titania exists to be in razorwings.
  2. High Ability strength - The higher the better. Strength % directly affects the damage output of Dex Pixia and the better you mod Dex Pixia, the more helpful strength is.
  3. Arcanes - Precision and Velocity are broken. Max these as they affect Dex Pixia. You will crit often enough to maintain fire-rate bonus and you only need a headshot every 18sec for 300% damage.
  4. Balance efficiency and duration with strength - Both efficiency and duration affect the time you stay in razorwings. You can crank your strength much higher, but staying in razorwings becomes much harder. You want to be able to stay in it for the whole mission. If you are playing with an ember who drops energy with Inferno feel free to trade off some eff/dur for more strength, but otherwise don't tempt it if you aren't sure you can stay razorwings.
  5. NO RAZORWING BLITZ - Absolutely not. You would think the fire rate increase would help, but your [Dex Pixia] [Mag] is small. You'll dump it fast and bullets will not hit enough targets. If you need this mod you aren't modding dex pixia correctly. Dex Pixia should be nearly one-shotting much of the time. Also the flight boost is too much. You won't navigate and line up shots precisely. The only time I run blitz is to race Gauss and Volt. There is no innate punch-though with [Dex Pixia], so you will merely turn front enemies into meatshields for those behind with trigger happy playstyle.
  6. NO RAZORWING BLITZ
  7. NO RAZORWING BLITZ
  8. NO RAZORWING BLITZ

General strategy:

  • With energy conversion (EC) you'll want to wait to press 4 until you pick up your first energy orb. This will put you at 308% strength - lovely.
  • I run Zenurik for the Energizing Dash and Energy Pulse. Dash at the beginning of the mission and by the time you get your first energy drop to trigger EC you'll have a healthy amount of energy to run the mission with (perhaps enough without more drops from enemies).
  • Never stop moving. You can get away with it pre-steel path, but it seems like enemies hone in better in steel path. The evasion bonus helps A LOT, but don't rely on it. There is a good Tanktania build on overframe (playstyle is obvious lol), but the damage you'll do in razorwings will be turtle-mode. You have 360 degrees of movement and small-size. Use that to your advantage.
  • Remember to focus headshots periodically. You'll spray so many bullets you may just passively do this or if you are like me and used to shooters you'll be going for the head on instinct, but you'll figure you out. Do what you need to make it happen.

Alternative mod combinations:

  • Energy Conversion -> Transient Fortitude: Get 5% more strength and no waiting for Energy conversion to take effect. Bear in mind the hit to duration.
  • Vitality -> [Transient Fortitude]: This is a risky, but rewarding swap. The hit to duration and next to no health make this undesirable at first glance, but with over 350% strength it's enticing. It's easy to get one-shot in steel-path, anyway, so why not try it? Recommended if you are used to playing this build and want a challenge.
  • Vitality -> Auger Secrets: Not enough of a bonus in my opinion (24%), but a viable strength increase option.
  • Corrosive Projection -> [Pistol Amp]: I'm only suggesting this as an option, but I wouldn't run it. You won't notice in low level content, but the tougher enemies get the better [Corrosive Projection] becomes. [Pistol Amp] is a % boost to a weapon that has capped out damage at some point. CP is a % reduction in armor to enemies that just keep growing in level and toughness. The benefit to you just keeps increasing and I find lvl160 corrupted heavy gunners die much faster in the Simulacrum with CP, than with pistol amp.

Abilities and Helminth:

Pretty much all abilities are useful (Except for 1) and this high strength/low range/medium duration and efficiency build will play nice.
-Lantern: Remember to use this to create choke points. This is great for enemy-saturated defense missions or overwhelming survival missions. Enemies get charmed by the lantern and forget how to enemy.
-Tribute: I see so few Titanias activating this. You have 4 awesome buffs that run simultaneously. USE THEM! Thorns reduces damage you take, Dust reduces enemy accuracy (Basically become Tanktania with this skill), Full moon increase health/shield/damage by a healthy margin, and entangle slows enemies in range. The Buffs last a long time and all squad members can benefit.

-I used to helminth on Roar over 1, but I quickly replaced this with [Xata]'s Whisper, which based on testing has killed quicker. Also void damage is one more status and not a physical or elemental damage type - It receives no penalty in sorties with enemy enhancements and no enemy is resistant to it.

Other helminth abilities over 1 to consider:
Elemental Ward - Another cycle of abilities to play with! Improve damage from here, among other things.
Eclipse - The opportunity to raise damage or survivability, but I find this ability inconsistent.
Energized Munitions - a great way to deal with ammo issues.
Rest and Rage - Damage vulnerability option for enemies.
Aquablades - Personally I find this one useful for pre-steel path. It helps kill enemies near you and ones you missed and you whiz through corridors. With the upcoming changes to Yareli, perhaps this will be even more useful.

Disadvantages:

-The main issue will be running out of bullets. This can be remedied a number of ways, but I would not recommend getting rid of Arcane Velocity. More info in my Dex Pixia build.
-If you are struggling to survive, find a tanktania build and run it until you are comfortable. Titania is a glass cannon.
-You have to pop in and out of razorwings to interact with objects. Not a huge deal, but can be remedied by pressing 5 (transference). I prefer this because there is no energy penalty from going back to razorwings the normal way and the transition is faster (also void cloak FTW).
