Ironclad Rhino | General Use Iron Skin/Buff/Crowd Control Non-helminth

INTRODUCTION

This is an all purpose Iron skin [Rhino] build for maximising iron skin health, having a strong buff from roar and providing decent crowd control from stomp. Note that Rhino's stomp is one few abilities that can effectively FREEZE eximus/thrax enemies through Overguard. [Ironclad Charge] and Health Conversion are key components that boost Iron Skin while Reinforcing Stomp is a great way to maintain iron skin.

This is the non-helminth version of : https://overframe.gg/build/198760/rhino-prime/fortress-of-iron-parasitic-armor-rhino-1-million-iron-skin-steel-path/ , which is a meme build to get an even higher level of iron skin using parasitic armor helminth.

Shares polarities with Empowered Roar Buff Rhino: https://overframe.gg/build/205669/rhino-prime/empowered-roar-rhino-buff/

VEILBREAKER UPDATE
[Reinforcing Stomp] is now a viable replacement over [Iron Shrapnel] since it now restores 4% of total iron skin per enemy stomped.
Add 2 amber cast speed shards to increase stomp speed and use 3 energy max shards for max energy.

BUILD SPECIFICS

Augments
The [Ironclad Charge] augment is absolutely essential to the build, giving a massive boost to base armor after charging into enemies with 1. Once your base armor is boosted, you can 'lock' this value into iron skin by casting 2. The [Iron Shrapnel] augment is less essential and has now been replaced with [Reinforcing Stomp], which lets you constantly refresh iron skin without needing to redo the iron skin again.

Why [Health Conversion] and no armor?
Health conversion is better than traditional armor mods like Umbral Fiber, Steel Fiber, Armored agility or Gladiator/Carnis mods. This is because [Health Conversion] at 3 stacks provides 1350 additional base armor, compared to a measly 378 from Umbral Fiber and 123 from Gladiator aegis/[Armored Agility]. This is because armor mods scale off [Rhino]'s tiny base armor value of 275.

Note that [Rhino] can only pick up health orbs behind Iron Skin with the help of a companion running the mod Synth Fiber, making it nearly compulsory to run Synth Fiber + Synth Deconstruct on your sentinel/pet. If you do not own [Synth Fiber], this will likely not work for you, so an alternative mod like [Umbral Fiber], [Steel Fiber] or [Armored Agility] is suggested instead. Also note in Index and Circuit due to the lack of companion you will also not be able to use [Health Conversion].

Duration
[Primed Continuity] is required to offset [Transient Fortitude] and give decent duration so that iron clad charge lasts over 15s, giving a long window to setup, roar lasts almost 1 minute and stomp lasts over 10s.

Efficiency
Neutral efficiency or higher is useful since stomp costs 100 energy.

Range
Just a bit of range gives a huge stomp and roar radius of over 30m. You can either run 100, 145 or 175 range, up to preference.

Strength
Strength is the most important stat for iron skin since it scales This scales into iron skin twice due to boosting ironclad charge bonus and as a final multiplier on iron skin.

Approximate iron skin values achieved with about 300 Strength:

  • Base iron skin: 6000
  • After charging into 1 enemy : 10k
  • After charging into 20 enemies : 80k
  • With max health conversion stacks : 15k
  • With max health conversion and charging into 1 enemy: 40k
  • With max health conversion and charging into 20 enemies : 480k
  • With max health conversion, hitting 20 enemies and arcane tanker: 830k

Arcanes

  • Arcane Energize is extremely useful for energy regen.
  • Molt Augmented gives +60% free strength after 250 kills. Molt Vigor can be an alternative.
  • Arcane Guardian now builds on taking damage to iron skin, so a good option to increase iron skin values.
  • Arcane Tanker / ultimatum increase your armor even further but are probably unnecessary and reasonably difficult to consistently activate
  • Can use damage boosting arcanes depending on your weapon of preference

Helminth
Stomp will be the ability that is replaced most of the time on an iron skin focused build:

Options to increase base armor for maximising iron skin:

  • Parasitic Armor can provide the biggest possible armor boost but doesn't do much else. With redirection you can gain 3747 armor, but you will need to drop health conversion
  • Elemental ward (Cold) provides the next biggest armor boost at 1291 extra armor but also provides passive damage reflection and free cold status procs
  • Defy is the next providing 750 armor at max cap and a bit of knockback/damage on cast
  • Warcry is the worst giving only 430 armor, but provides melee attack speed boost and an initial slow wave.

Options to increase both iron skin and roar:

  • Empower can also be used, but you will need to cast before each ability use which makes it a little more clunky to use, and provides less total boost compared to Elemental ward. Empower does however also benefit roar.

Options for grouping (for ironclad charge) and crowd control

  • Ensnare - can be spammed onto multiple targets but requires a target to cast, highest range but slowest pull
  • Larva - can be cast without enemy to target, very fast pull
  • Airburst - can also deal some damage, as well as both push and pull

If you want to keep stomp, highly recommend Nourish over 1.

PLAYSTYLE

  1. Kill some enemies to generate energy orbs to regain energy, and health orbs to activate [Synth Fiber] and in turn [Health Conversion], until you get to 3 stacks
  2. Find a group of enemies and use a grouping tool such as [Proboscis Cernos], Magus Anomaly, Vazarin Void Snare
  3. Cast Charge into the group of enemies (or out of the group of enemies if they are surrounding you for best results) to activate the Ironclad Charge bonus
  4. Constantly Stomp enemies for crowd control and to keep iron skin value near max
  5. Keep Roar active as required
