For a Nuke [Sevagoth] Build, It is important to understand that ABILITY STRENGTH DOESN'T MATTER. Ability strength is raised in this build for damage vulnerability on his 1 so that it remains Useful against enemies you didn't one shot. Duration is for this effect as well.
Nuke Sevagoth works through his Reap/Sow combo. This combo has very low base damage and low damage scaling through ability strength. The source of the nuke potential is that when casting reap on a target with Sow, they deal 25% of their max life as radial damage in 4m. This means that unless multiple enemies are grouped together in 4m, the nuke potential goes way lower. This means that enemies being spread out are going to limit your nuke potential. With this, we need an ability that groups up enemies, and the best ability for that is Larva from [Nidus] Helminth. Larva combined with the massive range of 250% that we have, means that enemies all over a huge area are dragged into a small 5m radius from Larva. With all the enemies clumped up, the radial damage stacking of all of them is guaranteed to kill even the highest level enemies.
Although Gloom is [Sevagoth]'s best standalone ability, it simply doesn't help Nuke builds and is the only ability you could [Sacrifice]. Losing gloom means losing a ton of survivability and utility with his lifesteal and slow. This means that you have to supplement it elsewhere, so Arcane [Guardian] is a necessity, while I opt for arcane grace to provide some form of healing.[Brief Respite] helps you gain more survivability by protecting your health and with how much you spam this combo, it helps [Protect] you a ton.
