Magnetic Acid Sacrificial Scythe

by last updated a year ago

On Heavy Slide Attack, this Corpus scythe launches a spinning energy disk that ricochets throughout the battlefield. Its lifetime is derived from the size of the Combo Counter. Note: The Granum Attaché system pauses the combo timer when holstered.

Magnetic Acid Sacrificial Scythe

My biggest problem with this weapon and this build is that I keep coming back to it. The consistent high damage requires no preperation with your ranged weapons, and the Corrosive/Heat/Magnetic Combo defeats the defenses of all factions quite readily. It has spoiled most other weapons for me.

The build uses the intrinsic Magnetic damage from the Tenet Weapon and combines with with Molten Impact, Primed Fever Strike, and Focus Energy to give a 2:1 ratio of Corrosive to Heat meaning that the Procs should break down to 1 heat proc every 3rd or 4th proc for Damage over Time while the main Procs damage Armor/Health. It uses Blood Rush to quickly bring the Critical Chance to 261% at x12, and can store the combo counter thanks to the Attache System by drawing your ranged weapon allowing You to maintain that x12 Bonus indefinitely. In addition the above Focus Energy gives a 40% Heavy Attack Efficiency so that if You need to use your Heavy Attack [Glaive] to delete a high value target: You keep a x5 Combo, meaning that your Blood Rush is still well fed.

Primed Fury, and a generally high attack speed build combo count very quickly.
The Corrosive Damage Can easily be swapped for Viral for those that prefer a Viral/Heat Build if desired. The Status Chance is quite high thanks to the use of the appropriate 60/60 mods. Though this does require the replacement of Focus Energy with Glacial Edge or North Wind, which reduces Melee Efficiency and undermines the Build.

The Sacrificial Steel and Sacrificial Pressure mods not only add strong base Damage and Critical Chance, but also add Tau Damage for battle vs Sentients.

Sadly with the Zariman Update the Zenurik Focus School no longer allows it’s previous 100% Heavy Attack Efficiency, and it’s not worth losing damage to gain 100% Efficiency using Reflex Coil in my humble opinion; though this is certainly an option.
