This is the companion build I run with my [Baruuk] loadout. It synergizes well with melee focused builds thanks to [Pack Leader]. Link Armor and Link Health are further chosen for synergy with Carnis Carapice on the [Baruuk] build, significantly boosting the survivability of both frame and companion.

In very dangerous missions (e.g. Steel Path Mot Survival) this combination will allow the Sly to stay alive consistently enough for the player to be able to rely on [Martyr Symbiosis] to be available as a last defense against lethal damage. It effectively becomes a reusable death save play in the event that Stalker or an Acolyte nullifies Barruk's abilities, giving time for the player to get distance and refresh abilities.
