This build is aimed to guide those conducting the Mastery Rank 5 Challenge. At mastery rank 5, Warframe™ becomes a slightly different game with a higher level of difficulty. The number of warframes and weapons at your disposal are limited, but you are expected to [Reach] the same level of performance as others with higher ranks. The rules of the Mastery Rank 5 Challenge are as follows:
No Trading: You are required to earn what you need without using the economy to leverage an easier run.
Platinum Spending Limits: You are limited to the 50 plat the game starts you with. You are not allowed to buy weapons with a mastery rank requirement higher than 5, and no one else may do so for you. Exceptions include weapons you can earn during events or promotions, such as [Opticor Vandal]. You can purchase any slots, reactors, catalysts, forma, and skins however.
No Rivens: This rule is unbreakable as the lowest mastery rank requirement to use a riven is 8.
Star Chart Completion: You must complete every node in the navigation screen that is accessible at Mastery Rank 5.
Hydrolyst: Dead or Alive: You must have killed or captured 1 Hydrolyst. Leeching a kill goes against the spirit of this rule and is considered a violation. You must at least play a vital role in a group effort to kill the Hydrolyst. For example, keeping the health up on eidolon lures counts as a vital role for a valid kill.
Quest Completion: You must complete all quests up to Erra and excluding The Silver Grove. Erra requires crafting the [Paracesis], which has a Mastery Rank requirement of 10, and The Silver Grove requires Mastery Rank 7.
This build is aimed at assisting Mastery Rank 5 players with attempting to damage the Eidolons (Teralyst, Gantulyst, Hydrolyst) through the use of a sniper rifle. While other options for sniper rifles exist at MR5, the [Vulkar] is particularly unique because of it's head shot multiplier at it's highest zoom level, and the syndicate mod [Lasting Purity] (which, according to it's wikia page increases damage when zoomed as well; regardless of zoom level).
While this is the powerful option of sniper rifles for MR5 players, the [Vulkar] can be difficult to wield due to it's slow fire rate and reload, as well as managing it's zoom levels when focusing on limbs or the head. You may be required to operate it at a further distance from your target Eidolon.
[Chroma]: [Primed Cryo Rounds]' replaces [Serration] for this build to take advantage of [Chroma]'s Vex Armor buff, which increases the elemental damage of the [Vulkar] even further. Chroma's parts are obtained by completing The New Strange Quest, and the Junctions of Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.
New Loka Rank 4 (Pure): Reaching this rank with New Loka will require 141,000 Total Standing. At Mastery Rank 5, it will take you 24 days to [Reach] this rank if you don't do syndicate missions or turn in Insignias. Once you reach Rank 4, you can choose the Lasting Purity mod as a free reward; which is required for this "endgame" build.
110,000 Credits, and 350 Ducats: This is required to purchase [Primed Cryo Rounds] from Baro Ki'teer, who does not always offer the mod.
