The All Purpose and All Content Wisp

ALL CONTENT, ALL ROUNDER, ALL AMERICAN Wisp build by 7opheR:

CORE MECHANICS

Survivability:

Brief Respite/Decaying Dragon Key - this is the first core of the build as the hardest thing to build for is endgame/endurance survivability. We start with this combo as Shield Gating is one of the most powerful mechanics to increase survivability as you become invulnerable for 1.33 seconds when your shield breaks. If your shield fully allowed to refresh to max you can gain the full gate time again and there are no other requirements or restrictions. So, what we want to do is optimize for the utilization of this mechanic. We do this first and foremost with the Decaying Dragon Key equipped in our Gear Wheel. This key will reduce our max shield capacity by 75% and will bring our max shield capacity down from 225 to 56. This combined with [Brief Respite] and [Augur Secrets] will allow us to cast any ability and reset our shield to max. This mechanic combines especially well with our 2 as this ability provides 3 seconds of invulnerability. This means every time you use Will-O-[Wisp] you will gain 3 seconds of respite combined with the potential for another 1.33 seconds when your shield breaks. Our only concern here is mechanics that bypass shields.

Arcane Guardian/Adaptation/Umbral Vitality - we further improve our survivability with Umbral Vitality (2/3 set bonus) which raises our HP to 850. This is a solid foundation which will grow to 1729 with our health mote attached. Our base damage reduction from our armor is 36.8% which means our running around EHP will be ~2735. We use Arcane [Guardian] and [Adaptation] to supplement this allowing us to achieve an EHP with Arcane Guardian of ~7931 and an EHP of ~79310 with a fully stacked Adaptation.

Elemental Ward/Breach Surge/Shock Mote - our final step in survivability is our abilities. Disregarding our 2 as we already discussed it's value we first look at our shock mote. This provides a solid source of Electricity procs which will cause the enemy to quiver in place. We additionally can cast our Breach Surge which will provide enemies within 18m and LoS to be blind for ~25 seconds. Lastly, and most importantly we replace our 4 (Sol Gate) with Elemental Ward from [Chroma] using the Helminth System. Here, the best two options for your emissive color is red or blue for the Heat or Cold ward. I personally believe the superior option here is the Heat ward as it will provide us with additional health and fire procs for additional CC. Heat ward will bring our HP up to 2315 which means our running around EHP will be ~3663, with Arcane Guardian it would be ~10619, and with Adaptation it would be ~106190.

Power Strength Stack:

Umbral Intensify/Blind Rage/Augur Secrets/Power Drift - this section is quite simple as we use the listed mods to achieve 293% Power Strength which will make our abilities very strong with as little [Sacrifice] as possible. As this section is so simple I will discuss the glaring choice to not include [Transient Fortitude] which would have allowed us to bring our Power Strength to 348%. While this would be a fantastic percentage to achieve to be sure I strongly believe that the actual gains are hard to justify. To start let's examine how it would effect our HP. We would only achieve a new max HP between our health mote and heat ward of 2590. This extra 275 HP would only increase our running around EHP from ~3663 to ~4098. In my opinion, this is not all that exciting. Now let's examine our haste mote. We achieve 59% movement and attack speed and 88% fire rate at 293% Power Strength. Getting to 348% only increases these numbers to 70% and 104% respectively. Again while this is nice, this is not all that exciting in my opinion as this is only an increase in effectiveness of 18.6% and 18.1% respectively. For me the loss in duration far exceeds the gained value as we will find ourselves having to visit our reservoirs more often to refresh motes and recast our Elemental Ward far more often.

Filling Out the Build:

Hunter Adrenaline - we use this mod to aid us in keeping our energy stores high so we can keep our Elemental Ward active, use our Breach Surge often, and activate our Will-O-[Wisp] as needed. Pretty straight forward. However, there is a key reason for the inclusion of this mod. Due to our builds heavy use of the shield gating mechanic and our 2 for survivability having the available energy to cast our 2 is pretty vital. This mod happens to be irreplaceable for having the ability to bring us from zero energy to an adequate amount to cast our 2 when we need it. When we are taking health damage, and a lot of it. Rage is a clear alternative to this mod with a slight cost reduction to match the reduction in effect.

Arcane Energize - this arcane slot is very flexible in my opinion. As many people use Zenurik on their Operator for the ability to generate energy and because this build uses [Hunter Adrenaline] it is definitely not necessary to use this very expensive arcane. Explaining my choice in using it is simple; consistency. I personally prefer having more energy, more consistently and this arcane helps a lot with this goal. However, it is definitely possible to use whatever Arcane suits you and your playstyle here.

Vigorous Swap - again, this is a highly flexible mod slot. So much so in fact that it will take a decent bit of explaining on why I am choosing to even use it. To start, I have to note the addition of the Primary/Secondary Arcanes and more specifically the Dexterity version of them. Since their inclusion I have personally found that the extra damage they provide combined with holster speed and combo duration are just absolutely insane in value. These arcanes do incentivize not only the use of primary and secondary weapons but they incentivize the use of interspersed melee kills to keep the buff stacked. This plays very neatly into [Vigorous Swap] and the damage it provides as you will frequently be quick swapping because of these arcanes anyway. A few things to note are the Vigorous Swap buff does not effect melee damage and when you quick swap between melee and a primary/secondary weapon there is a delay on the buff becoming active of ~3 seconds. However, once the buff is active if you frequently intersperse at least 1 melee attack (such as slide attacking to quickly move around) it is easy to maintain near 100% uptime on the buff. Another important part of this combo is the companion Synth mods. These synergize very well into this style of play as they will reload 10% of your weapons ammo while it is holstered which will essentially [Extend] the magazine size for free. I take this one step further by using a [Kuva Nukor] and the available exilus mod [Eject Magazine] which grants me another 20% of my magazine reloaded per second of being holstered. The end effect is me running around with a super juiced [Kuva Nukor] that I almost never have to actually reload myself.

All that being said this mod slot is most certainly a flex mod slot is more or less where you can individualize your build.

CORE PLAYSTYLE

The core idea of this build is to be a highly survivable and self sufficient support frame. If you enjoy buffing yourself and others, rarely if ever dying, and actually utilizing the games gunplay then this frame and her playstyle are most certainly right up your alley. This build as prescribed has quite a bit of flex room for individualization and personalization while maintaining the core of it's strengths. Make sure you place your reservoirs in intelligent locations to ease the stress of keeping the motes attached, use your Will-O-[Wisp] to "abuse" the shield gate mechanic and escape death, keep your Elemental Ward active as often as possible, and use Breach Surge to clear even the most stubborn of enemies.

So, think about what you want, smash the formas and have fun!
