The Energizer | Tenet Tetra

Hello everyone,

My name is UltimoFive and today we are going over the [Tenet Tetra], The Energizer.

Weapon Information

  • The [Tenet Tetra] is the Tenet Version of the [Tetra] and is obtained by either vanquishing a Sister of Parvos or trading from a player a Sister that they already conquered.

  • The [Tenet Tetra] has a max rank of 40. In order to obtain this level, the player must Forma the weapon at least 5 times. Due to this feature, the player gains a total of 4,000 Mastery Points rather than 3,000 and the builds in this guide require 5 Forma.

  • The Tenet Tetra excels in Short to Long Range Combat, dealing with High Leveled enemies of all faction in Small to Large Crowds.

  • The Tenet Tetra has an Alternative Fire that Switches the weapon between Full-Auto Mode and Semi-Auto Mode.

Tenet Element Recommendation

With this weapon the player gets an option of having a Bonus Tenet Element, which caps at 60% based of the Progenitor Warframe you choose to spawn the Sister of Parvos.

My recommended Tenet Element would be:

  • Toxin - Toxin deals 50% base damage per second over 6 seconds and stacks indefinitely with each instance having its own timer.

Comparison to the Original Tetra

The Tenet Tetra had some buffs when compared to the original Tetra. These stats would be:

  • Higher Base Damage at 60.0 Vs. 32.0

  • Higher Critical Chance at 28% Vs. 4%

  • Higher Critical Multiplier at 2.2x Vs. 1.5x

  • Higher Status Chance at 30% Vs. 20%

  • Larger Magazine Size at 80 Rounds Vs. 60 Rounds

  • Lower Fire Rate at 5 Rounds per Second Vs. 6.67 Rounds per Second

  • Slow Reload Speed at 2.2 Seconds Vs. 2.0 Seconds

Advantages Vs. Disadvantages

Advantages:

  • In Semi-Auto Mode shots Explode in a 8 Meter Radius upon impact with a surface or enemy.

  • Very High Critical Chance at 28%

  • Very High Status Chance at 30%

  • High Magazine Capacity at 80 Rounds

Disadvantages:

  • Full-Auto Mode has a Slow Fire Rate at 5 Rounds per Second

  • Semi-Auto Mode's Explosions inflict Self-Stagger

  • Semi-Auto Mode's shot consumes 80 Rounds of Ammo, making the weapon have an Extremely Low Ammo Efficiency in this mode.

  • Projectiles have Travel Time

Builds

Corpus: Focuses on Full-Auto Mode | Total Damage - | Average Hit - | Burst DPS - | Sustained DPS - | Tested up to Level 150

The Elements for the Tenet Tetra against the Corpus will be Magnetic/Toxin or Viral/Electricity. Magnetic amplifies shield damage by 100% and nullifies [Regen] of shields for 6 seconds which stacks up to 10 times for a total of 325%. Meanwhile, Toxin deals 50% base damage per second over 6 seconds and stacks indefinitely with each instance having its own timer. The Build's Flex Slot is Primed Shred and I think I found my favorite Rifle. Magnetic/Toxin Deals with Human enemies extremely well, but has issues with robotic enemies, especially those with Alloy Armor. Meanwhile, Viral/Electricity is more in the middle, with a small cut to performance against the Humans and a small boost to performance against robotics and Alloy Armor.

Corrupted & Grineer: Focuses on Full-Auto Mode | Total Damage - | Average Hit - | Burst DPS - | Sustained DPS - | Tested up to Level 150

The Element for the Tenet Tetra against the Corrupted & Grineer will be Viral/Slash. Slash's status effect is Bleed and after 1 second it deals 35% of the base damage per second for 6 seconds, which bypasses armor. The Build's Flex Slot is Primed Bane of Corrupted or Grineer or Primed Shred and is just perfect. With Full-Auto Mode simply just aim for the head and everything will die. With Semi-Auto Mode simply just aim near the enemy and blow everything to smithereens. Seriously, the Tenet Tetra is fairly perfect against the Corrupted and Grineer with very few drawbacks. Making this weapon practically a Must-Have against all Factions in the game...

Infested: Focuses on Full-Auto Mode | Total Damage - | Average Hit - | Burst DPS - | Sustained DPS - | Tested up to Level 150

The Element for the Tenet Tetra against the Infested will be Viral/Heat. Viral amplifies health damage by 100% for 6 seconds and stacks up to 10 times for a total of 325%. Meanwhile, Heat deals 50% base damage per second over 6 seconds while stripping up to 50% armor and causes targets to panic. The Build's Flex Slot is [Primed Shred] and honestly is great. It's hard to explain, but essentially it works just as good as the builds for the Corpus, Corrupted, and Grineer. I am serious, I think I found my new favorite Rifle to use. It is amazing against the Infested.

Yin-Yang: Focuses on Both Modes

Due to how Punch Through works the weapons Semi-Auto Mode can't be used as well as a player would like. So, instead if a player would like to utilize both Full-Auto and Semi-Auto then it is a simple build change in which the player would exchange [Primed Shred] for Hammer Shot. All Elements would stay the same and the Flex Slot would then change to Hammer Shot.

Semi-Auto Mode Focused Build:

Some players would like to use this weapon primarily for its Semi-Auto Mode as a Launcher Weapon. In order to use this build only a couple mods need to be switched out. In which case it would be [Primed Shred] for [Primed Firestorm] and [Focused Acceleration] for [Primed Rifle Ammo Mutation]. All Elements will stay the same and the Flex Slot would then be [Infected Clip] for the Corpus, Primed Bane of Corrupted or Grineer for the Corrupted & Grineer, and Hellfire for the Infested.

Recommended Alternative Mods

  • Galvanized Chamber - In place of Split Chamber if you have access to the mod through Arbitration and want to take the Weapons Damage to the next level.

  • Galvanized Scope - In place of [Critical Delay] if you have access to the mod through Arbitration and want to take the Weapons Damage to the next level. However, if one focuses on Semi-Auto Mode more, than stick with Critical Delay.

  • Cryo Rounds - In place of Primed Cryo Rounds if you don't have it.

  • Shred - In place of Primed Shred if you don't have it.

  • Firestorm - In place of Primed Firestorm if you don't have it.

  • Rifle Ammo Mutation - In place of Primed Rifle Ammo Mutation if you don't have it.

  • Bane Mods - In place of their Primed Counterparts if you don't have them.

  • Terminal Velocity - In place of Focused Acceleration if you don't have it.

  • Bladed Rounds - In place of the Build's Bane Faction Mod if you don't like using Faction Mods.

  • Speed Trigger or Vile Acceleration - In place of The Builds Flex Slot if the player would like more Fire Rate.

  • Hammer Shot - In place of Primed Shred if the player wants more Damage over Fire Rate and wants to focus more on Semi-Auto Mode.

  • Point Strike - In place of [Critical Delay] if you don't have it.

Synergy with Tenet Tetra

There are several ways to enhance Critical Stats and Damage for this weapon:

Damage:

  • Rhino's Roar adds bonus damage.

  • [Nova]'s Molecular Prime makes all sources of damage increase by 100% against primed enemies, on top of that they will detonate upon death dealing blast damage.

  • Mirage's Eclipse mixed with her Hall of Mirrors adds a massive damage bonus during the day or in light.

  • Saryn's Toxic Lash mixed with her Spores abilities.

  • Equinox's Rest & Rage in Day Form makes targets more vulnerable to Damage.

  • Wisp's Haste Reservoir bolsters fire rate, in turn increasing DPS.

  • Chroma's Vex Armor when Health gets damaged increases Weapon Damage.

Critical Stats:

  • Harrow's Covenant can add up to 50% Critical Chance and 200% on headshots.

  • Volt's Electric Shield when shot through adds a 200% Critical Damage Multiplier.

  • Zephyr's Passive increases Critical Chance by 150% while airborne.

  • Adarza Kavat with Cat's Eye can give a 60% Critical Chance boost.

  • Smeeta Kavat with Charm can give a 200% Crit Chance.

Arcane Synergy

  • Arcane Rage - Upon getting Headshot, 15% chance for 180% Damage to Primary Weapons for 24 seconds.

  • Arcane Acceleration - Upon Critical Hit, 30% chance for 90% Fire Rate to Primary Weapons for 9 seconds.

  • Arcane Avenger - Upon being damaged, 21% chance for 45% Critical Chance for 12 seconds.

  • Arcane Primary Charger - On Melee Kill, 30% chance for 300% damage to Primary Weapons for 12 seconds.

  • Arcane Arachne - On Wall Latch, 150% Damage for 30 seconds.

Primary Arcane

  • Primary Merciless - On Kill 30% Damage for 4 seconds, which stacks up to 12 times and comes with 30% Reload Speed and 100% Max Ammo. This Arcane I would say is more beneficial to the Tenet Tetra due to how much you will be firing and reloading. Along with this the Max Ammo helps quite a bit with the weapons Semi-Auto Mode.

Riven Synergy

When you get your hands on a Riven for this weapon the Flex Slot to replace will be what was previously discussed before. This may require 1 more Forma and in order to maximize Damage output with Tenet Tetra, one will need to get lucky and get some nice stats. These stats would be:

  • Ideal Stats For Full-Auto Mode - The Ideal Stats would be; Damage, Critical Chance, Critical Damage, and Negative Zoom or Weapon Recoil.

  • Ideal Stats For Semi-Auto Mode - The Ideal Stats would be; Damage, Multishot, Critical Damage, Negative Zoom or Weapon Recoil.
