Nidus the Virus - Umbral Adrenaline

Full Build

This is part of a larger build, including weapons and companion. See below:

How do I use this?

Cast your Parasitic Link on an enemy in a group, Larva the rest, and then start spamming Virulence. Parasitic Link is important here because it will make you gain double the stacks from Virulence. Immediately cast Ravenous as soon as you have the stacks, as the maggot explosions will also give you stacks. If you run out of energy, let the enemies stand up and hit you a little to replenish it and then immediately dodge to clear any statuses you may have gained and let yourself heal a bit. You should be able to just continuously build the Larva group as more enemies enter thanks to the large range and low duration on this build.

Once you have 100 Mutation, start meleeing with [Jat Kusar] to build up your combo count and apply Viral, Heat, and Slash. Once it's at +12, you can whip out your [Kuva Nukor] and apply SIX statuses to the enemy for use with [Condition Overload]. (Impact, Slash, Blast, Radiation, Corrosive, and Microwave). Then clear the group with melee to keep up the combo. From here on you can just continuously group enemies with larva and then [Nukor] them up and melee them down.

If things start to go sideways, you can always roll away to give yourself invisibility and clear status, choose a new Parasitic Link target, grab the room with your Larva, throw down Ravenous for heals, and then start spamming [Kuva Bramma] (or a [Proboscis Cernos]) everywhere to clear the room. Make sure to get your combo count back after things are under control again.

In Arbitrations, don't bother with melee. Just [Nukor] them for the Corrosive and Radiation procs, and then Bramma them from afar. If you hit an Arbitration Drone with the Bramma, the remaining explosions will usually clear the group if they're already [Nukor]'d. In Steel Path, just make sure if an Acolyte spawns that you kite them while keeping your link up and spam them with the Bramma (DO NOT MELEE THEM).

Alternative Mods

  • [Teeming Virulence] can be replaced with [Insatiable] if you are having trouble building stacks, [Strain Consume] if you want a little extra healing, or Abundant Mutation if you're good at using Rolling Guard and want extra damage on your Virulence and Maggots.

  • [Rolling Guard] can be replaced with [Adaptation] if you can't time your dodges correctly or want damage reduction without Parasitic Link up. You could also use [Quick Thinking] as this gets triggered only when you don't have 15 stacks of Undying. I highly recommend keeping with Rolling Guard though, due to the ability to remove Statuses.

  • [Overextended] and [Transient Fortitude] can be replaced with [Stretch] and [Primed Continuity] respectfully, if you don't need the extra range and want very long uptimes on Parasitic Link and Ravenous. Being able to replace [Overextended] with [Stretch] requires either a second Umbra forma, or changing that slot to Naramon. Doing so also requires the use of Power Drift as your Exilus, unless you are okay with losing 1% Damage Redirection.

  • [Transient Fortitude] can be replaced by [Blind Rage] if you don't mind having to spend more energy on your Virulence and want higher damage from Virulence higher Steel Path levels. This also gives you ~17 more seconds on Parasitic Link and ~11 more seconds on Ravenous if you are tiring of having to cast them so often. Personally I prefer negative duration so I can spam Larva more often as more enemies appear.

  • [Vigilante Pursuit] can be replaced with any other Exilus if you're not using Vigilante for crit bonuses, or stacking Vigilante on a Sentinel instead.

  • Arcane Primary Charger and Arcane Blade Charger can be replaced with Arcane Strike and Arcane [Fury] for ranking up your melee damage against groups in your Larva. Alternatively, Arcane Grace and Arcane [Guardian] can be used if you want more survivability. Arcane Avenger and Arcane Agility can be used for quickly getting away from groups and then nuking them with higher crit.

Enjoy!
