[Steel Path/Zariman] Gara Self Sustaining Nuke/Support (Dispensary)

[Repair Dispensary] should be taken in the Exilus slot (Overframe isn't letting me choose it).

This is not a Splinter Storm or Mass Vitrify exclusive build like many people post. In reality you can do it all with [Gara]; no need to focus on one. It uses Splinter Storm for single targets, and Mass Vitrify for AOE clearing. However the reality of Steel Path is that damage reduction does not keep you alive, and shield gating is the only way to survive endurance runs, even with [Gara]. At best, Splinter Storm makes your sentinel or defense objectives survive.

*Note a 450% damage+ riven on a high Disposition melee weapon is key to this build: https://overframe.gg/build/368588/.

Description:

This is a nuke and support build. It can clear rooms with Mass Vitrify, and can kill single targets in seconds with Splinter Storm. You can support your team with Dispensary, Mass Vitrify crowd control and damage boosting, casting Splinter Storm on enemies and allies, as well as Molt Reconstruct healing. Since this build is constantly spamming skills, Molt Reconstruct will be healing team mates, and allied operatives. It Does not work on sentinels, but will work on companions with Link Health.

As you may know, Mass Vitrify not only refreshes the duration of Splinter Storm, but when you are outside the wall and hit it with Shattered Lash, the damage of the wall explosion is added to the damage of Splinter Storm. Shattered Lash also scales off of the mods on your melee weapon, and your combo count, so you can get hundreds of thousands of DPS on your Splinter Storm in just a single explosion.

Taking a sentinel is a good option for [Gara]. Walk backwards and look up so you can get your sentinel under your cross hair to be able to cast Splinter Storm on it. This will make it survive in Steel Path and double your Splinter Storm damage by having two instances of it around you.

A good option for a companion is this viral rocket launching Dethcube build: https://overframe.gg/build/167538/ . This will prime targets with viral and heat, and will also trigger [Growing Power].

Build up your melee combo early in the mission BEFORE building up damage on Splinter Storm. Otherwise Splinter Storm will kill enemies before you can melee attack them.

This build involves having Helminth unlocked and transferring [Protea]'s Dispensary skill. If you don't have this unlocked, you can use [Spectrosiphon] instead of [Equilibrium]. When you use Dispensary, health and energy orbs give both you health and energy (via [Equilibrium]). Whenever you pickup a drop from Dispensary another will drop in a second or two.

You won't pick up health orbs at full health, so you also need a companion to "eat" the excess health orbs using [Synth Fiber]. This will make health orbs always give you energy, and makes Dispensary more than pay for its energy cost with its first health orb proc.

Take [Repair Dispensary] since your sentinel will die on occasion. If that happens, you can no longer pick up health orbs without needing healing and then you can no longer spam your abilities, leaving you to need to extract from the mission without this mod.

Also getting magnetized, or hit by certain Ancient Infested can grind this build to a screeching halt. However since Dispensary can be cast with impunity before then, it is best to get into the habit of putting one down before moving into a room and engaging enemies. This works like an anchor point you can return to if you get your energy drained completely. It is also wise to cast it before casting Mass Vitrify when you replenish your Splinter Storm. I also cast it when I come across and Infested Ancient which also doubles as adding shields (Augur Set bonus) to reset my shield gate.

I used to run [Rolling Guard] and [Primed Sure Footed], but they aren't needed. You can power through status using your invulnerability on Mass Vitrify, and the invulnerability also prevents most knockdowns as you will be spamming Vitrify from range.

Use Naramon school for the combo count reduction delay passive. Combo count is key for dealing 1 mil/hit rather than a few hundred thousand. The combo bonus is like having a 375% [Rhino] roar boosting your ability damage. Take Dexterity arcanes on both of your weapons (you won't need to be shooting either). This allows for only 5 combo to be lost every 20 seconds which keeps your combo up for a long time. Attack eximus or other tanky units to get some combo count back.

Take a Decaying Dragon Key and both secondary Augur mods on a [Laetum]. This allows us to shield gate using Mass Vitrify or Dispensary with 120% energy to shields. The Laetum is a good choice because a non-crit [Laetum] is in a league of its own for DPS that it can spare a mod slot for the [Augur Seeker] mod which is otherwise useless. It also fires quickly enough to deal with Corpus Nullifier bubbles.

For archon Shards take casting speed and ability strength in whatever mix you like.

Notes on the skills:

Shattered Lash:

-Not bad on its own. It adopts elemental damage from your equipped melee weapon's mods.
-Mod your melee for cold damage and incidental kills with Shattered Lash can drop energy orbs via Archon Flow.

-It can also get crit chance with Arcane Avenger, and crit damage from melee mods. A full damage riven still seems to be best in this case over a riven with crit damage, so no riven change is needed. [Gladiator Might] and [Organ Shatter] are the only mods to take replacing 2 90% damage mods. In the case of this build, Mass Vitrify does NOT benefit from crit scaling, and you do less damage due to the crit damage mods wasting space. However, Shattered Lash on its own will do more damage than mass vitrify, but can only target enemies on your own level. In my calculations, modding for crit is about a 40-50% DPS increase over using Mass Vitrify explosions. I don't think that is enough to warrant the limitations on which mobs you can attack.

Splinter Storm:

-90% damage reduction cap which is useless for anything beyond Steel Path Incursions. Great for keeping sentinels alive with Mending Splinters.
-Best single target DPS which can bypass some damage attenuation on certain mobs.
-Can be cast on your companion or even sentinel to protect it and double your damage.
-Also most people forget that it bestows damage vulnerability which increases all incoming damage when cast on enemies.
-It still deals damage when invulnerable while channeling Mass Vitrify, so walking up to a miniboss like an Acolyte and channeling this skill is an easy way to beat them
-[Mending Splinters] augment keeps your sentinel alive and constantly procs the Archon Intensify buff for more Shattered Lash, Splinter Storm, and Mass Vitrify damage.

Spectrorage:

-Useful only with [Spectrosiphon], but it still doesn't give back enough energy to [Gara] to spam with, even with Arcane Energize. Great for other frames. Usually the best skill to replace with a Helminth ability.

Mass Vitrify:

-Invulnerable while channeling
-Does not keep the damage types from Shattered Lash such as the elemental damage from mods, or damage increases from critical hits.
-It bestows damage vulnerability to mobs which aren't immune to vitrification, making it great against some single targets, but not all.
-Barrier is too weak to act as a shield unless several mobs are vitrified by it.
-Unmatched AOE that can deal over 1 000 000 damage a hit, outpacing a Saryn with a Bramma in clearing rooms in stationary missions, but not as good as Saryn against single target.
-Useless in mobile missions as it is far slower than shooting an AOE weapon and you will get left behind by your team mates.
