Sevagoth: Base Abilities/Any - Bleedout Consume

Sevagoth Gameplay Guide

[Sevagoth] combines crowd control and damage vulnerability debuffs on enemies to dispatch large groups of them with ease. His passive can save him from suboptimal situations but it requires five nearby enemies to bring him back during the bleedout timer. Enemies that are immune to Gloom's slowing effect can force him to rely on Exalted Shadow or weapons in his loadout.

📝 Build Overview 📝

[Sevagoth] activates his Shadow when he's in a bleedout state which allows him to instantly kill enemies to revive himself. This build attempts to utilize this passive along with an extremely greedy offensive build that throws away most defensive options.

🔢 Helminth Options 🔢

Base abilities are used in this build as it can utilize Reap ,Sow, and Gloom along with Exalted Shadow. If you're not planning on using the nuke from Sow then it becomes the weakest ability in the build and can be replaced.

Any ability can be subsumed at your discretion but realize that most abilities deactivate when you enter the bleedout state so their usefulness is entirely transient.

📊 Ability Stats 📊

Ability stats aren't touched and should be tweaked depending on which subsumed ability you decide to use.

⏲️ Duration ⏲️

Duration is primarily used on buffs or crowd control abilities. Primed Continuity is the first contender when teching it in over a flex mod.

⛽ Efficiency ⛽

Efficiency is necessary on more expensive abilities. Streamline should be used over Fleeting Expertise when utilizing abilities that scale with Duration.

📏 Range 📏

Range is necessary for many abilities to have a greater radius of effect. Stretch and Augur Reach are weaker than Overextended but don't cripple your ability Strength.

💪 Strength 💪

Strength increases the effectiveness of many abilities. Umbral Intensify is a strong option with no downsides but it has a massive mod cost on most builds.

↔️ Alternate Playstyles ↔️

Most builds utilize tools that can be swapped out to serve the same purpose albeit in a different manner. The following suggestions are an outline and aren't exhaustive.

🔧 Mods 🔧

  • [Mecha Empowered] and [Mecha Pulse] allow you to defeat enemies with meta weapons rather than relying on your abilities. They can be replaced if you don't want to use the Mecha set mods or a Mecha set companion.
  • [Primed Sure Footed] is a great survival tool and provides a large boost to your quality of life. It can be replaced if you're using abilities or other mods that serve the same purpose.
  • Gladiator mods are simply run for the Critical Chance set effect but they can be flex mods if you're relying on guns and abilities. They can also have their ranks lowered to fit in other mods into the polarity plan.
  • [Vigilante Pursuit] is run for the set bonus and additional Enemy Radar to find enemies. It can be replaced at your discretion or have the ranks lowered to fit in other mods.
  • [Vigorous Swap] synergizes with many guns that are used for your primary source of damage or to prime [Condition Overload] melee weapons. It can be replaced if you're only utilizing a single primer and your meta melee weapon as the swap speed is instant.
  • Exalted Shadow, Operator mode, and the passive bleedout state are your primary sources of survivability. [Rolling Guard] can be used as an additional buffer against extremely high level enemies since they're instantly kill the passive Shadow when it spawns.
  • Undying Will increases the time that the Shadow has to kill enemies and revive you during the bleedout state.
  • [Sevagoth] should use augments for his subsumed abilities if they're necessary but the build is already very tight on mods in the current state.

⚙️ Arcanes ⚙️

Arcane Avenger synergizes with this build's focus on extreme offense. It can be replaced on builds that don't have time to utilize the proc. Offensive arcanes like Arcane [Fury] or Arcane Precision are usually the call.

Arcane Strike synergizes with meta melee weapons and allows the Mecha set to deal with enemies more quickly. It can be replaced if you opt to use guns or abilities instead. Tertiary defensive mods like Arcane Aegis and Arcane Guardian are usually the call.

📋 Final Notes 📋

Reap instantly weakens nearby enemies and it deals percentage based damage when they're under the effects of Sow. Using Reap as fast as possible can cause it to bug out and fail to hit enemies even when they're within the ability radius.

Consume from Exalted Shadow instantly kills most enemies while [Sevagoth] is bleeding out but it doesn't work against everything. Listing off every exception would significantly increase the size of this guide but the general rule is that the enemies that are known for being immune to abilities will also be immune to Consume.

Exalted Shadow doesn't carry over the buffs, arcanes, and set mods from the base [Sevagoth] loadout. Set mods are actually turned off completely while in Exalted Shadow. This is slightly alleviated by how easy it is to switch back and forth between the two forms. Any outliers are most likely not intended because they're extremely inconsistent with the very small minority of exceptions.
