Sevagoth's Shadow Gameplay Guide
[Sevagoth's Shadow] is a special form that is activated when [Sevagoth] uses Exalted Shadow or when he enters his bleedout state. It has its own ability set and has access to many different binary options for builds. It also has many special interactions with certain mods so it needs a slightly different mindset when crafting your loadout.
📝 Build Overview 📝
Death's Harvest is a powerful ability that increases the damage off attacks on an enemy. This build quickly transitions into Exalted Shadow to use Death's Harvest once and then switches back into the regular Sevagoth form to make use of the damage.
🔢 Helminth Options 🔢
[Sevagoth's Shadow] is unable to use subsumed abilities but some options still carry over from the base frame. Be mindful of the effects that each ability will have on both aspects of [Sevagoth]'s kit.
Dispensary provides free health and energy while you're roaming in the Shadow.
Eclipse can use the [Total Eclipse] augment to buff the Shadow while even though you're not currently using [Sevagoth].
Other abilities can work but have a lot of redundancy or require you to babysit each ability by constantly switching between each form. Use them at your own discretion.
📊 Ability Stats 📊
Strength and Range are boosted to give Death's Harvest a larger impact in both damage vulnerability and radius. Duration is slightly increased so that the ability can stick on enemies long enough to dispatch but this comes at the cost of Efficiency due to a lack of mod slots.
⏲️ Duration ⏲️
Duration is slightly boosted to benefit Death's Harvest. Flex mods can be replaced for additional Duration but it has little benefit on your other abilities.
⛽ Efficiency ⛽
Efficiency is tanked but it shouldn't have a negative effect on this build. [Preparation] fills your entire energy bar and we're only using that energy for Death's Harvest. Flex mods can be replaced for Streamline if you want to use other abilities while in Exalted Shadow.
📏 Range 📏
Range is boosted to benefit a Death's Harvest and Embrace. Augur Reach or Stretch are flex mods on smaller tilesets but it isn't suggested to cut multiple Range mods.
💪 Strength 💪
Strength is increased by a several mods to keep Death's Harvest competitive across more content. It also slightly increases the healing from Consume when needed. Additional Strength will have diminishing returns but Blind Rage or Transient Fortitude can be swapped with Energy Conversion if you have a reliable way to proc it.
↔️ Alternate Playstyles ↔️
Most builds utilize tools that can be swapped out to serve the same purpose albeit in a different manner. The following suggestions are an outline and aren't exhaustive.
🔧 Mods 🔧
⚙️ Arcanes ⚙️
Arcane Energize synergizes with [Primed Flow] and keeps your energy topped off. It can be replaced if you have other strong forms of energy recovery either through abilities or allied energy support frames. Offensive arcanes like Arcane Avenger or Arcane [Fury] are usually the call.
Arcane Aegis synergizes with shield recovery to provide a massive boost to your survivability. It can be replaced if you don't like the random nature of the proc. Tertiary defensive arcanes like Arcane Guardian or Arcane Grace are usually the call.
📋 Final Notes 📋
[Preparation] instantly fills your entire energy bar every time you enter the Exalted Shadow. This synergizes with [Primed Flow] and the fact that there is no initial activation cost for Exalted Shadow. Arcane Energize has a separate cooldown when used on [Sevagoth] and his Shadow and the base frame benefits from the procs from the Shadow as he is still active while the Exalted Shadow is being used.
Consume from Exalted Shadow instantly kills most enemies while [Sevagoth] is bleeding out but it doesn't work against everything. Listing off every exception would significantly increase the size of this guide but the general rule is that the enemies that are known for being immune to abilities will also be immune to Consume.
Exalted Shadow doesn't carry over the buffs, arcanes, and set mods from the base [Sevagoth] loadout. Set mods are actually turned off completely while in Exalted Shadow. This is slightly alleviated by how easy it is to switch back and forth between the two forms. Any outliers are most likely not intended because they're extremely inconsistent with the very small minority of exceptions.
