The steel flag of Old War Railjack crews, the Pennant was invaluable in repelling boarders. With each heavy attack kill the Pennant's speed of attack increases.

Massive Slash damage Pennant

This is one of my favorite weapons.

While you don't have to do a heavy swing crit build on this weapon, it's an ideal weapon for doing so.

Since this is still a [Nikana] it forces Slash procs on heavy swings meaning we don't have to put anything towards status chance, freeing up more mod slots for damage. =)

I tinkered around with applying viral with this weapon but would have to sacrifice way too much to get it with any decent status chance, better to just use your primary weapon and/or sentinel/companion (Panzer Vulpaphyla ideally) for viral and whatever other stats you want to stack on them, and go all-in on making that Slash damage hit as hard as possible.

So this build is not getting any damage from [Primed Fever Strike] or any other elemental mods, everything about this is for more slash damage for bigger bleed ticks. This thing is devastating when paired with a Panzer. Of course, swapping [Sacrificial Pressure] out for a primed faction mod would be even better, but for the sake of simplicity, this is good all around.

No [Condition Overload]. Why? Because of the very low status of this weapon, and no elemental mods CO isn't going to have much to work with and even with a Panzer running around spreading Viral spores it's still going to basically be an inconsistent [Primed Pressure Point]. Trying to use a primer weapon to add stats is also very clunky and slow since you have to shoot them, then hit E to pull out your sword with a weak hit, and then middle-click for a heavy swing. Plus it really just doesn't need it anyway since it already easily one-taps level 300 enemies without viral procs.

Obviously, you could squeeze more damage out of this thing but it would pretty redundant at this point, and you would have to sacrifice range, attack speed or wind-up speed to do so which just make things less practical. In fact, you would probably increase your KPS (Kills Per Second) by swapping Sacrificial Pressure or Killing Blow out for either Quickening or Spring Loaded Blade for more atk-speed or range. This will still one-tap level 185 heavy gunners even if you swap [Sacrificial Steel] out for [Quickening].
