Garuda Energy Tank Weakframers

[Garuda] has very interesting mechanics and a passive that rewards the risk. The lower your health, the higher the damage you cause. At 2HP you’ll get a 100% bonus in damage done and that’s where we want to be with this build.
This is an expensive build that requires even an umbra but if you want a melee tank that is practically immortal, this can be it.

Let’s see the build.
[Steel Charge] as aura, because we need those extra points and we need the damage (we’re going melee, remember). You want to have a high armour, hence [Umbral Fiber].
Since we’re doing an energy tank (I’ll explain later what it is), you’re going to need [Primed Flow] and, if possible, [Endurance Drift]. The more energy, the better.
[Primed Continuity] is required to make the debuff from Seeking [Talons] last a bit. And [Streamline] will give you more energy per HP when using Bloodletting.

Now onto the main course: [Quick Thinking] and [Health Conversion].
When I said we were doing an Energy Tank, it’s because you are going to use your energy pool instead of your HP to stay alive. [Quick Thinking] will act the moment you are low on health (and you’ll always be) by draining energy when you get hit. Every point of energy counts as 2.4 health points, so with 600 energy you’ll have 1440HP.
[Health Conversion] is very interesting, because for every health orb you pick up, you’ll get an additional 450 armor to add to your already high armour. These “stacks” of additional energy will be removed when you get hit and lose health. But here’s the trick: since you’re always at 2HP and using your energy as health, when you get hit, you don’t lose HP but Energy, and those “stacks” won’t be lost. So you’ll be adding 450*3 armor to your frame indefinitely.
Arcane [Guardian] and Energize will help you stay alive by increasing your armour and energy pickups. Which directly influences the above mentioned behaviours.

How to use the build?

  • You need to get used to it first. You have to keep an eye on your energy and not your health bar! But fortunately, Garuda has a lot of tools to keep you alive, and you’ll be using them all:
  • Spam bloodletting every second you have more than 2 HP. You need to be at 2HP so your armor stacks from HC won’t drop. This will also let you stay at max energy (which means health for you!)
  • Use your [Dread] Mirror to cover most of the hits and to finish enemies with low health. You want to keep the mirror up as long as possible when under heavy fire.
  • If your energy drops too much, use blood altar to recover health and then spam bloodletting to get energy back.
  • Whenever you are surrounded (which will be almost always) use Seeking [Talons] to stun your enemies and kill them fast with your melee.
