This build was designed to make use of the heavy attack. If you haven't noticed before, the heavy attack on this weapon is a quadruple strike attack. With a guaranteed status chance, not only will you be inflicting the Viral proc and the Confusion status, you will also be inflicting Stagger and, due to [Static Discharge], the Chain Lightning status. That's four status effects that can be applied to the enemy. Couple it with [Condition Overload] addition boosting your damage by 120% per status effect on the attacked enemy and you're looking at a 480% total damage boost just from your heavy attack alone. [Life Strike] has been added to compensate for having to get in close and risk death, especially on Sortie missions.
