Bada$$ One-Shot Heavy Attack Stropha - Includes Notes on Testing on Steel Path Arena - No Riven

Found this build on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V2qJVm6_bls (SMV)

So, after building this and forma'ing it up in ESO (and still not at full power, because my [Sacrificial Pressure] is at 15 instead of 16 because I don't currently have enough credits to finish it), I've gotta say that it's fucking amazing. I've never played a heavy attack build like this. I have a [Redeemer Prime] and [Sarpa], but I've never really gotten into gunblades.

Testing both stances, I decided to stick with [Bullet Dance], which is more about shooting than slashing, because without reach and attack speed mods, I don't want to be using this for melee anyway.

This will one-shot things in surprising order. Nothing could survive a close hit in ESO, and at one point on the last forma, I saw it do 3.6 million damage to some infested thing. It commonly breaches a million, and on armored enemies, it'll do hundreds of thousands.

When it was fully powered (except for that last point of Sac Pressure), I took it to the simulacrum, and one-shotted just about every level 170 enemy I pulled up. Railjack bad guys? No problem. All of the heavies we normally test stuff on? Dead in one hit. I killed a level 170 Kyta Raknoid in TWO HITS. Level 170 Deimos Jugulus in two hits, because they have high damage resistance. The level 170 Juggernaut was pretty safe though. Its massive DR reduced my damage to 500 per hit, lol.

It's got some really interesting synergies. There are two mods that increase the speed of heavy attack wind-ups. [Corrupt Charge] also works well with Glad Might to always have you at 2x Combo, which increases the crit to be higher than shown in the build numbers. I was regularly getting yellow and orange numbers, with an occasional red.

What about Steel Path?

I think this build would make short work of most normal enemies, so I decided to try this Stropha build to clear my Grineer Arena nodes on Sedna. Try it on some 'bosses'.

  • The first node Nakki had level 140 executioners (Harkonar and some guy), and it wasn't much of a challenge. They took a few hits, but were pretty easy.
  • The second node Yam had scaling enemies, from level 160ish up to maybe 220 by the time I had 25 kills. Executioner Zura (the hyeka master) was pretty easy to kill, but Executioner Dhurnam was tough as nails and took a billion hits, so after killing him once, I mostly avoided him. Massive (maaaassssivee) damage resistance can get in this weapon's way. I can only imagine hacking at that guy with one of my normal Steel Path combo melee weapons. Yeesh.
  • The final node Vodyanoi had level 185 executioners. Executioner Zura (hyeka) was back and took a few more hits, as did her (her?) pets. The other Executioner was Reth, the guy with the turrets. He seemed to have some decent DR as well (nothing like Dhurnam though) and took about 15 hits to kill. Interesting to note was that I was one-shotting all of those level 180ish turrets, so the impact damage smashes machines just fine.
I never died in all three matches. I used my badass Inaros main build (link here: https://overframe.gg/build/95422 ), healing myself with Magus Repair when needed, and used just this [Stropha] build. Ha ... I even forgot to put Naramon back on, and still had Vazarin selected from doing ESO.
