The Xoris upon release was the best convenient stat stick available to all warframes that used pseudo-exalted weapons ([Khora], [Atlas], etc.) as it allowed for infinite combo duration thus enabling players to not worry about maintaining 12x combo for pseudo-exalted weapon damage. DE nerfed this shortly after release to expel all combo upon the use of a pseudo-exalted ability ([Whipclaw], [Landslide], etc.) After which the [Xoris] sadly passed into the realm of most weapons, i.e. MR fodder.
Then [Volatile Quick Return] was released.
Welcome to the [Xoris] 3.0, your new convenient kills everything, steel path endurance included (lvl 9999,) weapon of choice.
[Volatile Quick Return] quiet literally bumped all Glaives from F tier weapons, to S tier weapons. The way it works is that each time you charge, throw, and then heavy attack mid flight, it exlodes dealing massive AoE damage and forcing an impact and electricity proc on all enemies within the explosion (this is unique to the [Xoris]!) After testing this new version of the build, I can confidently say it's even better than a glaive prime!
Primed Pressure Point/Pressure Point - Either through design or by accident, Condition Overload does NOT work with any Glaive using Volatile Rebound or Volatile Quick-Return (I have tested this extensively!) [Condition Overload] will add ZERO damage. [Primed Pressure Point] however, will add damage to both the [Glaive], and the AoE explosion, thus making it our defacto damage adding mod. If you don't own [Primed Pressure Point], regular Pressure Point will work fine, it'll just add less melee damage. THIS IS STILL THE CASE IN 2025!
Life Strike - After further testing, I realized more damage on this build isn't necessary, and as such adding the utility of life steal allows the Xoris to now heal you whenever you use a heavy attack explosion to damage enemies!
Amalgam Organ Shatter - Why you ask? Because the heavy attack wind up speed it provides increase how quickly you're able to charge and then throw your [Glaive]. The aura mod [Swift Momentum] is great in conjunction with Amalgam Organ Shatter, as it further reduces heavy attack wind up speed.
Galvanized Steel - The heavy attack explosions give us an 84% crit chance with this mod at x5 combo heavy attacking. Not to mention the stacking Crit damage!
Focus Energy - The [Xoris] forces innate Electricity and Impact procs upon the heavy attack explosion, paired with its ability to maintain combo infinitely, we can get 90% heavy attack efficiency for those of you who do want to get up to x12 combo and get the most out of your heavy attack explosions along with additional electricity damage!
Melee Elementalist - In addition to decreasing our charge throw time, the 90% status damage increase massively boots the Electricity DoTs that are forced and stacked each time we cause a heavy attack explosion, leading to huge 100k+ DoTs!
Galvanized Reflex - Our goal with this build is to rely on our in flight heavy attack explosions without needing to build combo via quick attacks, as such we want our combo multiplier as high as possible for the independent damage multiplier it provides. With this mod we're always sitting at x5 combo, and if you want more, the Ready Steel aura will put you at x6 innate combo for even more damage!
Volatile Quick Return - This build previously used [Volatile Rebound] which unfortunately doesn't scale as well with how enemies have been buffed over the years. If you used the old version of this build, no additional forma are necessary!
Melee Influence - Because the [Xoris] always forces an electricity proc upon heavy attack explosion, Melee Influence has fantastic uptime and consistency on this build in a way the Glaive Prime can not match!
The exilus slot is flexible to whatever you'd like!
Enjoy the updated build, Tenno!
