ALL PURPOSE Revenant Hybrid Build + Revenant Guide (build outdated)

Welcome to my All Purpose [Revenant]. It just works.

In this guide you will learn how to become a literal god. If you read the entire guide, any mission will become a breeze. Women and men alike will fall for you in an instant. You dick will grow another two inches and increase in girth should you wish for that to happen. You may even be able to make Florida a normal place.

I will explain his kit and give some instructions on the different general playstyles you can use when playing [Revenant].

This build can utilise his entire kit.

If you want to specialize to go into specific content, look at my other builds. They are all designed to fit on the same Warframe.

Reave build: https://overframe.gg/build/119386/

Danse Macabre build: https://overframe.gg/build/119387/

Illegal build: https://overframe.gg/build/195657/

Lets go.

[Revenant] is a great Warframe for both endurance runs and normal missions. His kit does a lot of things. Some absolutely broken, some mediocre and some totally useless.
Some mechanics, which would be totally broken on other frames, get rendered useless because of how OP his kit is. As a Revenant, you go to infinity and beyond. Literally.

Info dump warning

Revenants kit:

His 1, Enthrall, is a CC that converts 1 enemy to a slave. Maximum of 7. If a slave shoots an enemy, that enemy turns into a slave. If a slave dies, it spawns a bonfire that shoots out homing missiles that do decent damage and enslave more dudes. Huge snowball potential.
Some "deeper" mechanics for those who give a shit: Host thralls (i.e. the ones you personally create) share their duration with the thralls they infect. Recasting Enthrall does not refresh the ability duration on existing thralls. Thralls created by the bonfires count as host thralls, but they don't leave behind another bonfire.

His 2, Mesmerskin, is a 100% damage reduction. This doesn't have a duration, it has layers. 6 layers base (and 16 with this build) to be exact. Each time you get shot, you loose 1 layer. Once a shot hits, that enemy can only take away another layer after 5 seconds. This is not affected by mods. The enemy will be stunned for 5 seconds (base) and 11 seconds with this build. Status procs will not affect you while you have this ability active. But they will put you to 2 hp, which is not a problem as you can't die from them. This includes magnetic procs.

His 3, Reave, is a very fast and steerable dash during which you become invincible. Upon hitting an enemy, that enemy always looses 8% of their health and shield (base) or 20% with 250% strength, which is the important part. A thrall however will always lose 40% of their health and shields (base) or 100% if you have 250% strength.. That means you onehit any thrall if you have 250% strength. It deals infinite damage. The lost health and shields will heal you/replenish your shield. This mechanic can be overlooked as you don't take damage anyways. Every Thrall you hit with Reave will replenish your Mesmerskin by 1.

His 4, Danse Macabre, is a strong aoe that fires horizontal beams in a 100m radius. This is not affected by range. They have a 20%/40% proc chance and it deals 20400/40800 base dps (or 52k/104k dps with this build) depending on wether you hold down left click/melee or not. It will always proc the "perfect" status and deals the "perfect" damage type. Corrosive (aromor), Magnetic (shields), Poison (red health). It has some damage falloff. So it will be effective until you are about 30 meters away. The beams can penetrate thin walls. Danse Macabre costs 5.41/10.82 energy/s with this build (base 20/40. With max efficiency 5/10), depending on wether you hold down left click or not. Due to the relatively small effective range, you can and should cast Reave instantly and for only half the energy cost during Danse Macabre. Due to the high drain, I always use Arcane Energize wich will enable me to stay in my ultimate for many minutes at one time and the downtime (if any) is at most 15 seconds. Each slave you kill with Danse Macabre will drop 50 overshields.

Playstyles:

You can use two different playstyles with this build or just combine all the abilities, which is a lot of fun and also very very effective.

In normal missions, you keep Danse Macabre active all the time. It has a relatively small effective range but deals huge ammounts of damage. That is where Reave comes in to play. Reave can be cast instantly and for only half the cost during Danse Macabre. Reave is steerable and it can be canceled at any time. So you can use it to jump right into the face of the enemy to roast them. This is not good for any mission that does involve stationary gameplay. i.e Defense. But it is good for anything else due to the obvious mobility advantage. Mesmerskin should be kept active at all times. You can just recast it whenever it is low. Shield gating helps with that. You literally can not die if you recast your Mesmerskin before it is fully depleted as shield gating gives you 1.3 seconds of invulnerability.

There is also the Reave centered playstyle. It's only really efficient on long survivals. But it is quite fun and satisfying, in my opinion. You cast Enthrall and then you Reave your thralls frequently. Using the mechanics of this combo, you have permanent 100% damage reduction from Mesmerskin, which will be replenished with each kill, and you onehit anything around you. It is more than enough to sustain lifesupport in a survival mission.

So why do i recommend this build? The crux of [Revenant] gameplay is combining all abilities and using them all at once. If you can do that without running out of energy, you know that you are at the peak. And that is what this build is able to do.

Questions I have been asked:
Q: Why do I use [Cunning Drift]?
A: Range may be bad for every other ability apart from Reave, but this build is a hybrid build. Q: But doesn't range become irrelevant if you can accurately hit the enemy? This is the crux of the problem. I have observed that Heavy Gunners sometimes don't get hit by Reave if I don't use [Cunning Drift] (I'd have 34% range without it). [Cunning Drift] fixes that problem.
Q: Many people use more strength in their build and have the [Growing Power] aura. Why are you not using them?
A: This build has enough strength to onehit thralls and all of the other stats are perfectly balanced, as all things should be, so trading off the stats for a bit of unnecessary strength that doesn't do anything for the build is not warranted. Not to mention that you are basically invincible anyways.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or things that i can add to all of this information and also leave a comment because I like reading those :3 Discord server: https://discord.gg/F5Mk9mr7uD

And that's it! hope this helped. Check out my other builds too if you want to specialize into other playstyles. Cheers! Leave a rating if u want to, I'd appreciate it ;)
