The Silent Fray | Baza Prime

Revisiting

Hello everyone,

My name is UltimoFive and today we are going to be revisiting the Baza Prime, The Silent Fray.

Weapon Information

  • Baza Prime is the Prime Version of [Baza] and was released alongside Aksomati Prime and Ivara Prime. In order to obtain Baza Prime one must open a variety of relics that contain the Blueprint, Barrel, Stock, and Receiver in order to make it at the foundry.

  • Baza Prime requires a mastery rank of 10.

  • Baza Prime comes with 2 "V" Polarity Slots, plus a "Dash" Exilus Slot. Because of this, the builds on this weapon will require at least 2 Forma.

  • Baza Prime excels in Close to Medium Range Combat, dealing with High Leveled Enemies of all factions against Single Targets and Small to Medium Crowds.

Comparison to the Original [Baza]

The Baza Prime has a few buffs when compared to the original Baza in different areas. These stats would be:

  • Higher Critical Chance at 28% vs. 26%

  • Higher Status Chance at 14% vs. 10%

  • Longer Range on Damage Falloff at 30m to 60m vs. 22m to 34m.

  • Larger Magazine at 60 rounds vs. 40 rounds.

  • Faster Reload Speed at 1.1 seconds vs. 1.4 seconds

  • Larger Max Ammo Capacity at 840 rounds vs. 800 rounds

Advantages Vs. Disadvantages

Stats about the weapon:

Advantages:

  • Tied Third Highest Critical Chance of all Full Auto Rifles at 28%

  • Tied Highest Critical Multiplier of all Full Auto Rifles at 3.0x

  • Good Status Chance at 14%

  • Extremely High Accuracy at 80

Disadvantages:

  • Tied Fourth Lowest Base Damage of all Full Auto Rifles at 16.0

  • Low Slash Damage Percentage at 3.50/22%

  • Poor Ammo Economy

Builds

Corpus: Around levels 100 - 120

The Elements for the Baza Prime against the Corpus will be Magnetic/Toxin. Magnetic amplifies shield damage by 100% and nullifies [Regen] of shields for 6 seconds which stacks up to 10 times for a total of 325%, meanwhile Toxin deals 50% base damage per second over 6 seconds and ignores shields. The [Baza Prime] is good against the Corpus, but it also isn't at the same time. Yeah it can [Shred] most of the Corpus up in a couple seconds, but with almost half a clip to a full clip being used...it just has a poor ammo economy and needs [Vigilante Supplies] or some sort of Ammo Mutation Mod to keep up with the extensive use of ammo.

Corrupted & Grineer: Around levels 120 - 140

The Element for the [Baza Prime] against the Corrupted and Grineer will be Viral. Viral amplifies health damage by 100% for 6 seconds and stacks up to 10 times for a total of 325%. Now, the [Baza Prime] is actually a bit stronger against the Corrupted and Grineer only because of [Hunter Munitions] mixed with Viral Procs and that is all there is really to say. It is a crit based weapon with low status chance, so rather than stacking status on the weapon it is just better to just have viral and hunter munition slash procs.

Infested: Around levels 100 - 120

The Elements for the Baza Prime against the Infested will be Viral/Heat. Heat deals 50% base damage per second over 6 seconds while stripping up to 50% armor and causes targets to panic. For once the infested build is actually stronger than the Corpus and Corrupted/Grineer builds, which would be true if you could land headshots more easily and the bodies of the infested wouldn't take forever to fall to the ground while killing a massive horde of infested enemies...which means no...this weapon isn't better, I really could use a nap...

Alternative Mods

  • Primed Shred - In place of Hammer Shot in the Corpus Build or Bladed Rounds in the Infested Build if you want Punch Through and more fire rate.

  • Hammer Shot - In place of [Bladed Rounds] in the Infested Build if you want Status Chance and Critical Damage in turn of losing Critical Damage upon getting a kill.

Ways to increase Critical Chance and Damage

There are several ways to enhance Critical Chance and Damage for this weapon:

Damage:

  • Rhino's Roar adds bonus damage.

  • [Nova]'s Molecular Prime makes all sources of damage increase by 100% against primed enemies, on top of that they will detonate upon death dealing blast damage.

  • Mirage's Eclipse mixed with her Hall of Mirrors adds a massive damage bonus during the day or in light.

  • Saryn's Toxic Lash mixed with her Spores abilities.

  • Banshee's Sonar gives a huge damage Multiplier.

  • Wisp's Haste Reservoir bolsters fire rate, in turn increasing DPS.

Critical Chance:

  • Harrow's Covenant can add up to 50% Critical Chance and 200% on headshots.

  • Adarza Kavat with Cat's Eye can give a 60% Critical Chance boost.

  • Smeeta Kavat with Charm can give a 200% Crit Chance.

Arcane Synergy

  • Arcane Primary Charger - On Melee Kill, 30% chance for 300% damage to Primary Weapons for 12 seconds.

  • Arcane Avenger - Upon being damaged, 21% chance for 45% Critical Chance for 12 seconds.

  • Arcane Acceleration - Upon Critical Hit, 30% chance for 90% Fire Rate to Primary Weapons for 9 seconds.

  • Arcane Rage - Upon getting Headshot, 15% chance for 180% Damage to Primary Weapons for 24 seconds.
