This weapon partially relies on combo multipliers to increase damage as the combo counter goes up(by the [Blood Rush] and Gladiator set bonus mods). Because of this i recommend maxing out the power spike power on the naramon tree in order to decrease the rate of decay of combos. The aura [Swift Momentum] will also decrease this and should be equipped if no other aura is needed if sustained high damage must be achieved. Because of the reliance on critical chance of the damage increase is from an increase of critical damage rather than its base damage.

For a higher raw sustained damage stat [Primed Fever Strike] can replace [Virulent Scourge] however this reduces the status chance which will harm the overall realistic damage potential due to the [Condition Overload] which increases damage based on the number of status effects on a target. The combination of slash and viral procs further increase sustained damage on high health damage. The raw damage could also be increased by replacing [Buzz Kill] with something like primed fever strike however that would mean that viral procs would occur far more commonly that slash ones so the chance of frequent slash-viral proc combo is reduced. To get a 50/50 chance of a slash or viral proc equip a rank 4 [Jagged Edge] instead of [Buzz Kill]. [Primed Fury] is also a possible mod to replace [Buzz Kill] with

If maximum raw sustained conditional dps is required check out my 129k dps [Orthos] build instead however this is a much more practical build and has a higher dps potential on very high health enemies due to the procs and gets to the max dps faster due to the more similar slash and viral damages and status chance

To increase damage to its maximum potential put [Gladiator Rush] and [Gladiator Vice] on your [Deconstructor] (the [Helios] melee weapon) and [Gladiator Aegis] on your warframe to increase crit chance increase per combo multiplier from 70% to 100% with a maximum crit chance of 288% instead of 202%
