Titania: Rest & Rage/Eclipse/Roar - Boss Damage

Titania Gameplay Guide

[Titania] is primarily a support frame that can use Razorwing to transition into other playstyles. Most of her abilities focus on various defensive buffs or mild enemy crowd control. Razorwing grants her massive damage, survivability, and movement speed which can be adapted to various mission types.

📝 Build Overview 📝

Razorwing allows [Titania] to speedrun through missions and then burst down bosses with ease. This build attempts to capitalize on that playstyle by introducing subsumed abilities that bring more options to the table.

🔢 Helminth Options 🔢

Lantern has inconsistent line of sight checks and it should be replaced until this system is changed on a macro level. If you're playing with some form of constant invisibility it's far more useful.

[Rage] from Rest & [Rage] speeds up the invulnerability phases of various bosses which is usually the largest time loss in optimized runs. Ensure that your primary emission color is set correctly so that [Rage] is equipped rather than Rest.

Eclipse is a large damage bonus that can be more consistently set up against bosses as they usually spawn in identical rooms in every tileset.

Roar is a bit weaker than other options against bosses as many are immune to status effects which cuts down on the double-dipping damage. This damage is traded for more consistency.

Fire Blast, Shuriken, and other armor stripping abilities are great picks to increase your damage against highly armored bosses but not all bosses are susceptible to these various abilities.

Other abilities are decent but provide a lot of redundancy due to the existence of operator mode and the previously mentioned abilities.

📊 Ability Stats 📊

Strength, Duration and Efficiency are boosted on this build at the cost of Range. This is necessary to balance out the various attributes that Razorwing brings to the table without impacting most subsumed abilities.

⏲️ Duration ⏲️

Duration is mainly for the buffs but gives a small boost to your energy economy. [Narrow Minded] and [Primed Continuity] should be enough for most situations but Fleeting Expertise can be swapped out if you're trying to squeeze out more duration from abilities on short missions.

⛽ Efficiency ⛽

Efficiency is boosted to keep Razorwing and your subsumed ability in check between objectives or before each boss. [Fleeting Expertise] is a flex mod if you're able to recover energy during forced invincibility phases or missions with set timers.

📏 Range 📏

Range is lowered by [Narrow Minded] and it's effectively useless on this build. Razorwing provides enough speed with the [Razorwing Blitz] augment that any subsumed ability that requires some form of proximity can simply be solved by getting closer to the boss or objective. [Narrow Minded] only becomes a flex mod if a boss is impossible to get near and you have an ability that you need to cast on it.

💪 Strength 💪

Strength is high enough for subsumed buffs and Razorwing exalted weapons to feel impactful. Unfortunately it's high enough that [Razorwing Blitz]'s movement speed becomes nearly uncontrollable on some tilesets so Transient Fortitude can become a flex mod if you're looking to be more consistently maneuverable with the augment equipped.

↔️ Alternate Playstyles ↔️

Most builds utilize tools that can be swapped out to serve the same purpose albeit in a different manner. The following suggestions are an outline and aren't exhaustive.

🔧 Mods 🔧

  • [Corrosive Projection] is one of the few ways to innately decrease the effective health pool of a both by simply selecting a mod before a mission. If the boss has no armor, is immune to the effect, or if you're using other forms of total armor stripping then this mod can be replaced at your leisure.
  • [Primed Sure Footed] has some redundancy with Spellbind but it allows you to focus on the mission rather than strict ability upkeep. Either of these are mandatory in Razorwing builds to keep you from suffering a multitude of forced staggers when running into terrain so only replace this if you're able to keep your knockdown resistance up consistently.
  • [Fleeting Expertise] is a flex mod if you're focusing on energy recovery rather than relying on pads or Zenurik during invincibility phases. Primed Flow is a better option but may require you to also use Preparation to make full use of the increased maximum energy pool.
  • Transient Fortitude is a flex mod if you're having issues controlling the movement speed of Razorwing Blitz.
  • [Razorwing Blitz] is a powerful mod when used correctly but it heavily relies on your ability to skillfully navigate tilesets at various ability Strength combinations. Spellbound Harvest and Beguiling Lantern are useful gimmicks but are heavily reliant on enemy positioning.

⚙️ Arcanes ⚙️

Arcane Precision synergizes with [Dex Pixia], the primary damage dealing exalted weapon in Razorwing. It can be replaced if you're only using Razorwing to get to the boss more quickly. Offensive arcanes that fit your primary damage dealing weapon like Arcane [Rage] or Arcane [Fury] are usually the call.

Arcane Avenger is easy to proc when in Razorwing as you simply need to grind your frame against a wall. It should be replaced if you aren't using Razorwing or the augment in any capacity. Tertiary defensive arcanes like Arcane Aegis or Arcane Guardian are usually the call.

📋 Final Notes 📋

Spellbind, Tribute, Lantern, and Razorwing all contain elements that aren't affected by mods. This can either be beneficial or detrimental depending on your stat distribution. Unfortunately it puts most builds in a position where they aren't making effective use of various ability stat investments but it also allows you to completely dump a stat with no penalties.

Lantern abides by several line of sight checks and some quirks with the enemy pathing that can allow it to be extremely effective or completely useless depending on the tileset and enemy density. It's far more effective when you and your allies are completely invisible as it will pull more aggro regardless of the circumstances.

Razorwing Blitz is a double-edged sword that can either be a massive boon to your movement speed or a complete detriment depending on your skill level and the makeup of the tileset. Increasing or decreasing Strength to suit your various needs is usually the call but if you're having issues with repositioning it may be more wise to just remove the mod altogether and focus on other forms of more manageable speed bonuses.

🛑 Disclaimers 🛑

This build may make certain assumptions about mechanics that can change after a patch. Multiple unnecessary forma may be used to facilitate more options across multiple builds with one polarity plan. Certain sub-optimal mods may be run to fit them into the forma polarity plan. We do not make builds that purposely attempt to abuse mechanics that aren't intended by the developers. None of these previous statements are excuses for a fundamentally incorrect build and we ask that you please contact us when we're wrong. We do not consent to anyone other than the original author of this guide posting it without permission.> Razorwing has defensive and offensive effects that can significantly alter your playstyle throughout the mission. This build attempts to utilize defensive mods and subsumed buffs for a more greedy variant of most typical Razorwing builds.
