[Revenant] can use Reave on Enthralled enemies to instantly kill them as long as you have over 250% ability strength. Mesmer Skin keeps you protected from any problematic enemies all the way to the level cap. We subsume a buff to deal with regular mobs or enemies immune to the Enthrall/Reave combo.

Roar is chosen because it buffs your abilities and your weapons if you choose to use them. Eclipse and [Xata]'s Whisper are also good choices but require additional work to use effectively. Elemental buffs like Nourish can save you slots on your weapons but may need build tweaks. Hybrid defensive/offensive buffs like Elemental Ward aren't as useful as you already have great survivability in your kit.

Dance Macabre is replaced as it's too gimmicky on this build. Replacing other abilities also significantly hurts your synergy.

Strength is above the 250% threshold but we also use it to stack additional Mesmer Skin charges and to increase the strength of our buffs.

Range and Efficiency are slightly increased on this variant to allow it to make better use of the Enthrall/Reave combo against content that only has problematic enemies such as Index or Kuva Lich hunts.

[Natural Talent] is useful for allowing you to cast Mesmer Skin off cooldown and during your shield gate. Without it this build is far more dangerous to run as enemies start to scale to higher levels.

Arcane Velocity is run primarily for the [Kuva Nukor] synergy. It can be replaced with any other arcane to suit your playstyle.
