Hello everyone,
My name is UltimoFive and today we are going over the [Bubonico], The Plague Bomber.
Weapon Information
The Bubonico is an Infested shotgun Arm-Cannon that launches a barrage of Toxin Blasts and can be obtained by researching it's blueprint in the Bio Lab at the Dojo and requires these materials to make it:
The Bubonico requires a mastery rank of 13.
The Bubonico comes with a "Dash" Polarity Slot and a "V" Exilus Slot. Because of this the builds for this weapon require 4 forma.
The Bubonico comes with a secondary burst fire that shoots off 3 Viral Rounds that explode in a 7 meter area on impact.
The [Bubonico] excels in Close to Medium Range Combat against all leveled enemies and can deal with small to large crowds with ease. It's Secondary Fire however is advised at Medium to Long Range.
Advantages Vs. Disadvantages
Advantages For Primary Fire:
Very High Critical Chance at 25%
Above Average Critical Multiplier at 2.3x
High Overall Status Chance at 9.29% per projectile
Innate 1.9 meter Punch Through
Innate Multishot of 7 pellets
Advantages For Secondary Fire:
Advantages Overall:
- The Bubonico Regenerates ammo and doesn't use ammo pickups
Disadvantages For Primary Fire:
Disadvantages for Secondary Fire:
Innate Viral damage, there is no physical damage.
Extremely Low Critical Chance at 3%
Consumes 3 rounds per shot (9 rounds in one burst)
Slow Projectile Speed
Explosions cause Self-Stagger
Explosions have Linear Damage Falloff from 100% to 50% from Central Point of Impact
Builds
Corpus: Up to Level 140 Eximus Tested
The Elements for the Bubonico against the Corpus will be Radiation/Toxin. Radiation causes enemies to attack each other while dealing 100% additional damage to the allied for 12 seconds and can stack up to 10 times up to 550%, meanwhile Toxin deals 50% base damage per second over 6 seconds and ignores shields. Due to the Element combination this weapon performs very well against all enemies on the Corpus side, including high leveled enemies such as the Bursa.
Corrupted & Grineer: Up to Level 140 Eximus Tested
The Elements for the Bubonico against the Corrupted and Grineer will be Viral/Heat. Viral amplifies health damage by 100% for 6 seconds and stacks up to 10 times for a total of 325%, meanwhile heat deals 50% base damage per second over 6 seconds while stripping up to 50% armor and causes targets to panic. Now, I try to avoid [Hunter Munitions] in my builds as much as possible, but the problem is that without this mod the weapon doesn't perform well against the Corrupted and Grineer. Just aim for the head and watch the Slash procs rain...
Infested: Up to Level 140 Eximus Tested
The Elements for the Bubonico against the Infested will be Corrosive/Heat. Corrosive reduces armor by 26% for 8 seconds and stacks up to 10 times for a total of 80%. A lot of my builds against the infested have lately been decimating them very quickly, but I think this one takes the cake. You can successfully one to two shot almost all infested enemies, even at level 140 and all are of Eximus rank.
Alternative Mods
Now before I get into the alternative modifications section I wanted to say why I didn't add an Exilus Mod in any of my builds. In order to put in [Fatal Acceleration], which is what I'd suggest, you'd have to forma the weapon a fifth time. In my opinion I don't find it that necessary because the Linear Damage Falloff isn't that bad.
Suggested Good Alternatives:
Blunderbuss - In place of Laser Sight if you want flat Critical Chance and not have to rely on keeping up with Headshots.
Shotgun Spazz - In place of [Vigilante Armaments] for the Corpus and Infested builds if you want a huge boost to Burst DPS, but in turn has harder control due to how fast your fire.
Incendiary Coat - In place of [Primed Charged Shell] for the Infested build if you want to have a bit of fun with Gas, sure it isn't as effective, but it is pretty damn fun.
Charged Shell - In place of their Primed Charged Shell if you don't own it.
Ravage - In place of their Primed Ravage if you don't own it.
Point Blank - In place of their Primed Point Blank if you don't own it.
Non-Recommended Alternatives:
- Viscous Spread - Although it doesn't effect the spread too much for the weapon, it does affect the DPS if you replace anything in the builds by quite a bit.
Ways to increase Critical Chance and Damage
There are several ways to enhance Critical Chance and Damage for this weapon:
Damage:
Rhino's Roar adds bonus damage.
[Nova]'s Molecular Prime makes all sources of damage increase by 100% against primed enemies, on top of that they will detonate upon death dealing blast damage.
Mirage's Eclipse mixed with her Hall of Mirrors adds a massive damage bonus during the day or in light.
Saryn's Toxic Lash mixed with her Spores abilities.
Banshee's Sonar gives a huge damage Multiplier.
Critical Chance:
Harrow's Covenant can add up to 50% Critical Chance and 200% on headshots.
Adarza Kavat with Cat's Eye can give a 60% Critical Chance boost.
Smeeta Kavat with Charm can give a 200% Crit Chance.
Arcane Synergy
Arcane Rage - On Headshot, 15% chance for 180% damage to Primary Weapons for 24 seconds.
Arcane Primary Charger - On Melee Kill, 30% chance for 300% damage to Primary Weapons for 12 seconds.
Arcane Avenger - Upon damaged, 21% chance for 45% Critical Chance for 12 seconds.
