[Nova] can use high range Wormholes to safely escort defense objectives across long distances, most notably Plague Star drones. We also uses low ability strength to speed up boss phases with Molecular Prime. Depending on your role in the boss fight, your subsumed ability may be offensive or defensive.
Ensnare is chosen because it allows you to keep the random roaming enemies under control. With their speed boosted they can become far more annoying to deal with and Molecular Prime can't be targeted at specific enemies. Larva and Resonator also work for this purpose.
Energized Munitions or defensive abilities like Fire Walker can help you to deal damage to the boss if you're running solo or the DPS frame is having issues.
[Vitality] can be replaced with [Rolling Guard] against higher level content.
Duration is intentionally kept just a bit over 100% so that the wave can hit bosses like the Hemocyte in Plague Star. It also keeps you from being completely overrun by enemies that are boosted by a speedy Molecular Prime.
[Fleeting Expertise] can be replaced with more duration if you're confident with your energy economy. Realize that you'll still need to use pads when spamming Wormholes.
Arcane Velocity is primarily chosen for the [Pyrana Prime] synergy against various bosses that have special damage reductions. It can be replaced with any other arcane to suit your playstyle.
