Nidus has a few tools that give him semi-competitive survivability outside of long endurance runs. We subsume another DR or defensive QoL ability to push his survivability further in more difficult content.
Dispensary is chosen because it allows you to play passively without having to constantly engage enemies if you're low on stacks. Quiver is another good option that allows you to completely drop all of your survivability mods.
Null Star allows you to stack DR by running max duration and a 180% ability strength Parasitic Link. The downside is that both abilities interfere with each other by forcing you to simultaneously stay near the target but out of orb range. You can manage this by linking to a target with a piece of environment blocking your LoS but it probably isn't worth the effort in most scenarios. Try at your own risk.
Larva is replaced unless you're planning on using its new buff, then you'd replace Virulence.
Range can be increased a bit by either cutting a survivability mod or lowering the rank of [Adaptation] by enough to fit in [Stretch] over [Augur Reach]. This build is meant to camp a single room so you shouldn't need more than a dozen meters of range on your abilities.
[Health Conversion] specifically synergizes with Dispensary but can be replaced with [Rolling Guard] if you're not going to utilize health orbs.
Arcane [Guardian] gives you a significant EHP boost but can be replaced with any arcane to suit your playstyle.
